I enjoyed the fact that the programme was back, I enjoyed Mel & Sue presenting, I had a titter at that awful shaped handle for the poor contestant Lorraine.
I didn't understand the point of Richard & Lorraine at all.
I agree that the trophy was bad. It didn't feel like they connected well with the contestants, but then no one will do that as well as Brucie.

She'll turn up on anything these days...
Or in anything... 😉
If you thought it was going badly, then Gemma Collins turned up!

*Insert joke about wishing Jim Davidson was also turning in his grave here*
I'm sure I can hear Bruce Forsyth and Larry Grayson turning in their graves. It is almost like an awful parody. Shameful production.

You must have good hearing. He was cremated.

It was OK, I really wanted to like it but it just felt wrong.
Over produced is probably the right term, there were obviously issues with how the recording went in terms of flow as there was far too much editing, and really obvious ones too. That was part of the problem with the laughter sounding false, they were using it to bridge the many difficult edits.
Lorraine Kelly and Richard Osman were pointless, I've no idea why they were there. Using the old favourite games isn't a bad thing for the first show, though I did say to Mrs Sands, when was the last time plate spinning has been on TV? That's a long lost variety act

It seems the Generation Game is cursed, as Paul O'Grady recorded a pilot for the show back in 2004 I think and he said it was an utter disaster, and was never transmitted. Paul actually got injured and had to see a doctor for the injuries he got during the recording of the pilot. He said he would never go back to the Generation Game again. Utter shambles. Seems Mel and Sue have gone on the same path.

Here is the clip of an interview he did on This Morning about his time on the Generation Game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIk4POSNUtM
