General Presentation on ITV1

Just before Midsummer Murders on ITV1 now, I noticed their was no ident being played into it. But a menu with the three next programmes coming up and they were on the right of the screen, with the Market in the background *frozen image - of the breakbumper but without the bird thing* and the ITV1 logo in the bottom left hand corner. It looked very nice, is this the first time they've used it?

It looked very nice, especially liked the fact that the bird was on there, but flew off and out to the right at the start.

At least they're trying something different.

I still haven't connected to these in a way, they are very well produced, and the CGI elements work lovely, the music however does grate on me being the same for every ident.

Maybe its because the idents are random scenes, with non of them associated to any programmes or with the logo, at least with 2 & 4 their logo is made up within the scene. Even last years idents portrayed emotions for each ident and therefore were something a bit different.

The same happened now into Dancing on Ice, but with the Beach in the background. With the sun shining from the left, down onto the right (where the listings are) it looked very nice indeed!

Has anyone else noticed the 'ITV2 on ITV1' branding recently (currently used for WAGs Boutique on a Monday Night). The noticable differences so far is the different breakbumper and the 'on now' DOG shown at the beginning of the show (with ITV2 on 1 animated logo).

I wish the Scottish Media Group would just go in line with the rest of the mainland ITV idents. I would long to see any ITV1 ident on my screen, particularly if it meant " my region " going back to Grampian rather than STV, or I could even tolerate ITV1 North Scotland

I think they would just call it ITV1 Scotland now, the Grampian name or even the North Scotland tag are both very unlikely to appear
