They launched Christmas Eve, finished New Years, not Boxing Day.
The sparkle was on the coming up slide earlier today, but I don't think it's been there previous days.

Last day then today to expect Christmas idents from ITV - I reckon we'll get something.

Was it the usual female announcer? I find her annoying as well but she did a good announcement at the end of Corrie on Friday when she commented on Vernon's awful singing!
As for Christmas idents, there is nothing to say they cant add some sparkles to the promotions and coming up next slides and still not have Christmas idents. Or they could just add a bitt of sparkles to the idents themselves.

I know - Sorry. Thier isn't going to be any festive idents. But that snowflake effect would look very nice on the 'Bike' ident.

Not just disappointing but totally unacceptable. 2006 will be remembered as the year where nothing and no-one was safe in ITV plc's drive to save £100m. And their worst ever programming.
Has anyone else discovered the new ITV Forums? Great, I thought, somewhere to tell ITV what I think of their un-festive spirit. Then I reached the forum index and discovered I could only discuss pre-determined topics, ie. Coronation Street. They obviously know that a "General ITV discussion" board would crash under the volume of complaints
