I noticed that in the promo their is no Sparkles coming from the logo.
That's because it's a promo for Winter drama not Christmas
Although you might disagree - I think the sparkles would be nice on all of the current promos for the lead up to Christmas.

As this thread is releated to ITV pres...
've spent an interesting Sunday looking back thru some old VHS tapes. Ive captured a few bits of old Anglia presentation from early 90s Christmas )
specific and bunged it on Utube (search for anglia christmas pres).

Its a bit crude I havn't edited it perfectly just put it into clumps but still better than nothing. There is some other non-anglia stuff stuffed in there too for good measure.
I'll put some more up this week as time permits if anyone is interested!

I saw a promo for Doc Martin which is being shown on Christmas Day and that didnt have any sparkles on it either!

are you sure? the one i saw had sparkles coming from the '1'
must have missed that then!
On ITV Wales at about 6.30pm between the regional programme and ITV Wales News we had about 4 programme trailers, however I was flicking between Wales and ITV London and noticed London went straight from their programme into London Tonight with no trailers or anything.

what is going on with itv1's normal trails at the moment (not the christmas ones)
some have the logo all white, some have the logo like the ident: black text with white '1' and now i have just seen the itv1 movies trail which has the logo with white text and a black '1'
wheres the consistency?

There's a black 1 because it's on a white background
It's obviously part of the branding guidelines that the logo can be in white or black, this has been done before. For example, during the balloons era of BBC ONE, the logo was in white, but did appear in black occasionally

There's a black 1 because it's on a white background

The new ident is pretty suttle but I don't think much to the Christmas promos. (and how come there's been no network christmas promo this year?)

at all
from itv1 this year
