same here!!!
both the Central Cake and the ATV eyes - both damn fantastic idents/stings and shame they are no longer in use - so very versatile compared to todays.
btw this second batch of stings are better its just the ident itself - awful (no matter what colour scheme they use)

They need to improve their programmes now, these idents are good, but I still prefer the Central Cake

Just noticed, why have the headline straps in the ITV News 10:30 become yellow and the backdrop has turned to blue again??
Was it like this on the 6:30 version?

What was better about them? A bunch of random clips with a logo slapped on top, with irritating music. ITV1 had the worst idents on TV. I have to admit, these idents are bloody good. Not the best I've seen, but a massive improvement on what we had.
10 months. It's a refresh, not a re-brand. The logo has had a slight alteration and has been incorporated into new idents. The promos and ECPs have remained unchanged. I also think this is ITV1 responding to criticism. The old idents were dull - these aren't.

Besides, why the hell are they changing it all already? It's been, what, six months? Less?

And the 12.30 - keep up.
Sorry, I havn't watched it !
Think it looks much better though, just need to change the logo a bit and change the regional set colours for it all to tie in together!

The idents are better, don't like the black text for itv though. I wish they hadn't tinkered with the colours on the news, I thought teal was quite a radical colour to choose and it gave the brand an identity of its own, where as now we are back to blue/yellow.
However, I do like the fact that the have the clock face numbers around the edge of the floor area. They didn't really make enough of the idea of the semi-circle being part of the clock before:

Liking the refresh - kind of shrugs off the old Charles Allen-esque identity. New horizons etc.
Not keen on the black lettering at the moment but i'm sure I'll warm to it. Certainly finding the black headlines on sunset strap hard to bear on the ITV News at the moment.
