The trailers have always looked like that?
Appears it was just the Trinny & Sussan and the Dickinson ads which had the logo at the very bottom which I saw before Emmerdale. Thus I assumed they had been tweaked, though seeing other trailers they appear as before.

The trailers look rather odd, mainly in that the itv logo is positioned right at the bottom. Not sure if I like the new idents, due to the black text.

The six idents - Bike, Lake, Market, Beach, Pavement Art and Basketball - form the second phase of the broadcaster's on-screen rebranding across all its services, first introduced in January.
They use a variety of locations to evoke different moods - from a serene lake to an urban basketball court.
The new idents use 3D elements including fish and humming birds, which were created by post-production company The Mill, which won an Oscar for its work on Gladiator.
ITV Creative employed the services of Blink Productions and Pleix to direct the new concepts originated by Red Bee Media.

I daresay it's too taxing to make proper idents.
Nice to see that the traditional ITV plc contempt for regionality hasn't died then.
Oh dear, I think they may need to have a rethink for Wales!

IMO:
GOOD:
- the logo 'interacts' with the action and isn't just slapped on;
- the logo is less intrusive;
- there's only one scene per ident.
BAD
- the black lettering looks odd compared with the white version used on trailers and other ITV channels;
- the music is weak.

I hate it. The old ones were so much better. Besides, why the hell are they changing it all already? It's been, what, six months? Less? Plus, that random insertion of black makes it look even worse. Personally, I think they're trying to make everyone interested too quickly, rebranding like this constantly. They're like, "Now we're unveiling our new look here on ITV one. Do you like it? Well tough, here's another one. And another. And another."...
OH
I find on this set of idents my eyes are drawn to the itv logo throughout the whole ident and i actually have to make a conscious decision to actually watch the ident itself!
The music track is quite ethereal in a similar view to the BBC One track.
Re the branding on the itv1wales idents - rather than just stick the word 'wales' over the top why dont they stick the itv 1 logo AND 'wales' over all the action so it doesnt look too out of place when items move infront of the logo?
At least then the viewers in Wales have a bit of consisitency and wont realise that they are supposed to see other things!?

Well considering these new idents have appeared with no publicity, no fuss, not even a mention by the announcer, how exactly are they doing that?
It's obvious that they have changed them so soon because everyone inside and outside of ITV can't stand to see that man looking at his stomach one more time
