Gems TV were meant to launch their new studio at 6am this morning, as it happens they weren't ready, so they put a video on until 7am. At 7am, they went live on air from a very small studio.

Their new studio made it to air just after 8am, it has a few unique features that you wouldn't necessarily associate with a television studio, such as a viewing gallery and a museum area.

From Redditch as well!

I didn't realise they still had an involvement in the US market. The original Gems TV in the US didn't succeed and that was based out in the states.

Awful television but these shopping channels must have a half decent business model as they never seem to go bust.

Auction World, iBuy, Home Shopping Europe and Shopping TV are just a few examples of shopping channels which have closed down, primarily for financial reasons.

ITV returned to the home shopping market with The Zone on Freeview 39 and The Store on ITV1 at weekends, although I liked Granada's previous effort with Shop! from Liverpool.
