Plus the ratings this year have been huge!! Tonight's was legendary, the limo challengef will go down as one of the funniest things ever!

At first it seemed a bit sick that millions more tuned in too see footage of the accident - but I think the fact they've managed to maintain those massive figures of over 7m throughout the run shows it's one of those programmes you might not think you'd be interested in, but when you watch it you want to watch it again the next week.

I think all those extra people tuned into see Hamster's accident, and they have realised that the revamped TG is actually quite good, so they've stayed with it.

It's a shame that Richard Hammond had to suffer for the surge in ratings Laughing

Given that there is now a large audience for TG. How long do we give it before it moves to BBC One? It seems to be BBC practise to move all big rating shows to BBC One once tried elsewhere. I know BBC Three gets a lot of things nicked by BBC One (Little Britain for example).

That would be the death of BBC2 for me. They have had so many brilliant shows nicked from them (The Apprentice, Have I Got News For You, Who Do You Think You Are to name just a few).

I can not see the point of it to be honest. Surely the same amount of viewers will tune in whether it is on ONE or TWO-what difference does it make?

Wouldn't the BBC be better off spreading programmes between BBC1 and 2 to have two strong channels rather than one?

I expect it will happen. There's no way they will allow BBC2 to have 8 million viewers and BBC1 only 4 million at the same time.

i don't think so because the BBC use BBC 1 as their flagship channel and the one most people tune into. It's probably just better advertising if a programme is on BBC 1 than on BBC 2

Cars are technically a "minority interest" and must therefore be shown on BBC2. Laughing

i don't know how small the BBC think a 'minority interest' is but 8 million people doesn't sound that small Surprised

Well apparently, something like Davina that got tiny viewing figures is considered 'mainstream' and has to go on BBC1.

It's Davina McTelephone or whatever her name is. She presents big brother and is as thick as the a billion thick people put together, what do the BBC expect??
