The limo stuff was brilliant tonight - especially Lemar - it was like a Gotcha that never was!

Re: the poll - definately a case of don't judge a book by it's cover. It's not a show I should like, but it never fails to deliver!

Moyles seemed to be the only one that wasn't that pissed off in the end, more scared. Jamelia laughted it off in the end. Once Lemar had passed Harrods for the second time he should have jumped out & used the tube, he still would have got there before May Laughing

Can anyone remember what year the new style Top Gear started? I have a feeling it was 2002 but im not sure. Top Gear just seems to get better & better with every series lately. Certainly series 9 (the current one which has it's finale tonight) has been absolutly awesome to watch. The show is still extremely popoular as indicated by the current waiting list to be in the audience which is still over a year long. Doesn't it also get one of the biggest shares of the Sunday evening viewing audience? The one thing which does make me laugh is when some people write in asking to see more normal everyday cars on the show. They seem to forget that Top Gear try's to show us what we can't always do everyday. If a new Mondeo comes out you can easily go to your nearest showroom and try it yourself. If a Bugatti Veron comes out you probably don't stand a chance of getting your hands on one, Hence TG fills that gap. It's almost like a soft comedy program whilst also at times being informative and helpfull in making up your mind about cars.

Plus the ratings this year have been huge!! Tonight's was legendary, the limo challengef will go down as one of the funniest things ever!

Brilliant Episode! Smile However...

... Is the reason why they have only done 3 episodes in a series due to the fact that they had limited filming time due to hammonds accident? or are the BBC now really running out of money Confused:

There was six episodes this series & I think it was due to Hammond's accident more than anything else, the previous series was alot longer IIRC

Am i right in thinking there are two Top Gear series in a year?

Yes, there might even be 3 this year! Usually the first series is around May and then the second around October but it is a bit mixed up this year.

Probably because they've shot so much stuff that has had to be shelved due to Hammonds accident. I do so hope we get an extra 2 series this year Very Happy

At first it seemed a bit sick that millions more tuned in too see footage of the accident - but I think the fact they've managed to maintain those massive figures of over 7m throughout the run shows it's one of those programmes you might not think you'd be interested in, but when you watch it you want to watch it again the next week.

18/2/07: it nearly had double the viewers of the second highest audience programme on TWO (The Conspiracy Files). Obviously people were tuning in to see the new idents...Laughing

TopGear 7.51m, The Conspiracy Files 3.94m

It is amazing how many good shows they have crammed into this series:
Hammonds Return/Tarmac
Audi/Mazda/Alfa Golfing
TopGear in America
Space Shuttle
Tractors
Limos

Best series so far ?

A bit bereft of car reviews these days than before the Winter Olympics. Not that I'm complaining. Very Happy

Definately one of the best series so far. Last Nights (Limo) was sooo funny. i couldnt stop laughing, especially in when james got hit by a aroow thing shot by Clarkson, luckily i recoded all of them, (apart from first) onto s DVD in my new DVD Recorder. Keep Top Gear Coming!!

Oh, rats. Missed that. I'll just have to hope the repeat isn't pulled this time round.
