Wheel of Fortune will no doubt pop up this time around. I can see that returning to the daytime schedule once they've bashed Price Is Right to death.

321 will be a very ambitious one to recreate, maybe worth a one off for old times sake however. I personally would like to see Catchphrase and Strike It Lucky as two other returning gameshows.

Love to see them do The Pyramid Game and Winner Takes All as well!!!

for for returning Gameshows to full blown series....

Family Fortunes with real contestants and only 30 minutes long - but keep Vernon Kay as he was good on the show!
Wheel Of Fortune with a peak time slot rather than daytime
The Pyramid Game - daytime
Jeopardy - daytime
Catchphrase with Roy Walker or his replacement (forgot his name and I don't mean Mark Curry!) - primetime
Strike It Lucky/Rich with Michael Barrymore - primetime
3 2 1 - primetime
My Kind Of Music - primetime
Russian Roulette with proper contestants instead of celebrities - primetime
Winner Takes All - daytime

ITV have confirmed that there will be a second series of Gameshow Marathon in Spring 2007, but it won't be presented by Ant and Dec, as they have decided to concentrate on Saturday Night Takeaway and Poker Face instead. The new series will be presented Tess Daly and Vernon Kay.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

What is ITV1's sudden obsession with Vernon Kay? He's got Family Fortunes, he's doing that record of the year or whatever it is next week and now this Evil or Very Mad

The £64000 question, and also Celebrity Squares. Both were presented by Bob Monkhouse, just like the other classic gameshow Wipeout. Don't see much of that now.... I'd like to watch re-runs of 'Going for Gold' on Challenge!

And a quick top five of ones they won't bring back if they know what's good for them!

1. Shafted
2. Three Little Words
3. Keynotes
4. All Clued Up!
5. Give Us A Clue

Vernon Kay isn't bad but surely they could have found time for Ant and Dec to record a series to playout in the summer - I'm sure they could record them easily within a week or so!

P.S. Bound to be celebs again I suppose, but maybe they could do shows that involve couples/pairs and then each week pair up a celeb with a member of the audience.

Shafted, in fact, was a very clever gameshow but what let it down was firstly the name and secondly the host!

Maybe Ant & Dec like a little break like the rest of us.

Wouldn't it be great if they brought back the original host just for a one off special? Michael Barrymore made Strike it Lucky due to his behaviour and general micky taking of contestants.

The French version (La Marathon des Jeux Televises) deviated from the formula a little, it was a big two hour show. The show began with Que Le Meilleur Gagne (Everybody's Equal - much more popular over there than it was over here, evidently) with the audience made up of members of the public playing. when they did the cut to the top twelve, celebrities represented the qualifying audience members and won prizes for them in the games they played that evening: The rest of Everybody's Equal, La Academie du Neuf (Celebrity Squares), Fa Si La Chanter (Name That Tune), the three winners went on to a highly cut down version of Questions Pour Un Champion (Going for Gold, which is HUGE over there) and for the final Un Familie en Or (Family Fortunes), with the teams consisting of he celebrity, the punter in the audience they were playing for and three random audience members.

It was strange.

I'm not a big fan of Vernon at all. He's good on T4 and his radio show, but I've never thought much of him presenting these 'mainstream' shows. Him and the wife were awful on Just The Two of Us as well - so I can't see them being much better on this.

That would be a nice spin on it actually.
