I think what Carlton wanted in rebranding Cent and Wcy was they wanted ppl to think of Carlton as a major national tv operation - this was done at the time they launched the Carlton-brand channels on ONdigital as was, but now:
Carlton Select - closed
Carlton Kids - axed to make room for Discovery Kids
Carlton World - axed to make way for Wings (and now main Discovery)
Carlton Food - renamed Taste, and closing later this year after Sainsbury's backed out
Carlton Cinema is now the only Carlton channel going and their viewing figures are nothing compared to Premier and Moviemax, at least if Broadcast's breakdowns were correct...
Carlton wanted to rule UK media - they are trying every trick to take over our world - Carlton books/videos/CDs... but some ppl don't like what Carlton is offering.
