No, they don't and no they don't... ITV regional teletext services were axed back in January... and Westcountry dropped Birthday People around the same time.

No. 73 is such a formulaic show it would be completely pointless to bring it back with the old name. I'm not saying it wouldn't work, but given how long it was since it was on air you may as well just use the format but pick a new funky name for it that the "young kidz will dig".

Having said that I'm sure Frank Sidebottom would be up for a re-appearance.

I hear there's a new show called 'Harry Hill's Shark Infested Custard' coming soon to CiTV.

CiTV should have a complete makeover. The bit for pre-school kids should be called CiTeenies and CiTV itself should be renamed to CiTV on 1 or something like that.

Yes, and why not just use the CBBC logo whilst they're at it.

CiTV needs to be an alternative to CBBC and not a carbon copy really. Yes, there would be similarities - i'm not denying that, i'm just saying that CiTV needs something a little different rather than renaming itself to extremely similar names that CBBC uses.

I think that a good start would be finding some studio space and bringing back the live links in between programmes now that they know that the iNk concept isn't going through.

Wasn't there something called Telly Tots at one time sponsored by Milky Bar, or did I imagine that

No. 73 on a Friday afternoon - wouldn't work.
Not more puppets on CiTV - they got rid of most of them when they axed the on-screen presenters.

What they should bring back:
Finders Keepers
Fun House
Knightmare

Just my thoughts.

Westcountry don't have Birthday People anymore, it ended a while ago.

Yep. From September 2000 (until September 2001), they had Telly Tots, which was basically the characters from the Tot's CiTV animations, the car, the plane, the fish, etc. living in Telly Tots town, they drove and flew around the town and introduced the programmes, saving the live presenters for the main bulk of CiTV.

Not a bad concept.

On the note of CiTV getting live links back, I presume that if they are going to bring them back, they will leave it until the new channel is launched, that's presuming that they will give CiTV a new look to go along with it!

Well there are plenty of redundant continuity suites around the ITV network these days... stick a locked off camera in there, let the presenter press their own buttons - it would probably go down well, most of the kids these days wouldn't remember what it was a rip-off of

Just my thoughts.

- Finders Keepers: I believe is coming back from what I've heard.
- Fun House: CiTV did try to create a variation of that format called Twister, but that only lasted on series if I recall.
- Knightmare: The creator Tim Child / Televirtual would like to bring it back and has created a new pilot, however due to lack of UK interest plans have been shelved and they are working on 'RAP' http://televirtual.com/
