Recently there was a meeting regarding the future of CITV. In this meeting there were several suggestions raised and considered, the following being the most interesting.

1. No73, the Saturday morning show is revived for Friday afternoons.

2. An adventure drama based on the old C64 game Flimbo's Quest

3. A history programme introduced by puppets

4. The entire Wednesday schedule replaced by a children's movie.

5. A 5 minute lunchtime birthday slot

Can't really comment on the first but like the sound of the second - they should do this with more old computer games like Rainbow Islands and Zool. Don't think puppets are that exciting for children as much as what they were so don't like the third one.
The fourth one...hmmmmm...only ever done on bank holidays so it would be different and the fifth one should have been done a long time ago!
They should have more of CITV on air anyway - a little stint in the morning for half an hour after GMTV for the pre-schoolers or maybe not actually.

Wonder why they chose an old game as a basis for a drama? That said, System 3 (who made it) do bring out new versions/conversions of their old games for newer formats.

And it's very interesting to see old programmes like No. 73 given a new lease of life, they'll bring back Tiswas at this rate!

I take it that's to do with that Channel TV programme erm... Puffins pla(i)ce

Yes. It's already a 10 minute lunchtime slot programme (after the ITV News and Channel News) and it could certainly do with being a network programme - heck - why not even get them to do all the links between programmes on CITV from Jersey, as has been suggested here before?

Some of the ITV regions already do birthday slots -

ITV1 Westcountry do Birthdays at 15.14 every day
Channel TV have Puffins Pla(i)ce each lunchtime
UTV do some birthdays within UTV Live
and most others do it on regional text pages 600+

CiTV should have a complete makeover. The bit for pre-school kids should be called CiTeenies and CiTV itself should be renamed to CiTV on 1 or something like that.

No. 73 on a Friday afternoon - wouldn't work.
Not more puppets on CiTV - they got rid of most of them when they axed the on-screen presenters.

What they should bring back:
Finders Keepers
Fun House
Knightmare

Just my thoughts.

Yes, and why not just use the CBBC logo whilst they're at it.

CiTV needs to be an alternative to CBBC and not a carbon copy really. Yes, there would be similarities - i'm not denying that, i'm just saying that CiTV needs something a little different rather than renaming itself to extremely similar names that CBBC uses.

I think that a good start would be finding some studio space and bringing back the live links in between programmes now that they know that the iNk concept isn't going through.
