Funny things last night

Last nite I got back from a bonfire and switched on Sky news a about 1:30 am, and Joan Mailin (Central News West presenter) was presenting on Sky News and a new face on BBC Midlands Today (the new sports presenter and formely known on Newsroom South East I think was doing the sports news on Sky News and at the same time a news report that a car exploded in Birmingham so-

Did BBC ONE have a news report last night when the bomb went off?

I'm not even sure when the bomb went off - I suppose News 24 would have taken care of that, or was it earlier in the evening?

Well it wasn't really a bomb - just the detonator that went off... there were no injuries, virtually no damage - so there was no need for a News Report really.

I was gonna say, I haven't heard much about it at all

i think the bomb went of at 11:30
Sky News reported it just before 1:30
and BBC News 24 reported it just after 20to 2 I think
so Sky News WAS first.

I didn't want to start a new thread just for this, and now I get the chance to say it (as I don't think its been mentioned) - Rob Curling is now doing Midlands Today sport.

I still miss him from Newsroom South East! I can't believe he's back doing regional sport. Is he still doing Sky Sports News?

yeah hes still doing Sky Sports News because I sid him on it last nite, then did the sport on Sky News

And ex NSE Charlie Figgis is now on UK Today! I saw her on Friday and another date.

As is ex-NSE Gwenan Edwards... wonder what they'll be shunted to when UK TODAY is cut?
