Health and Safety probably helped kill off the show..well.. that and Pat Sharp losing his mullet.

That has brought back some classic memories....
How expensive are these children's gameshows to make, just thinking that they could be good for a Saturday or Sunday morning intermixed with cartoons and repeats of other classic CITV stuff!!!
gameshows such as :-
Runaround
Jungle Run
Terror Towers
Mouse Trap (I know that was part of Motormouth and not a gameshow in itself)
Finders Keepers
Only gameshow I can never see returning, although I think it could garner a whole new audience would be Knightmare

I think Fun House could work as a Saturday night show as Pat said but would need a very clever person to devise the format so it worked and didn't flop to quickly (Gladiators springs to mind!). Perhaps have different challenges that don't feature every week to keep it a bit more interesting? Would Pat be the right person to present it though, that is the question? Also they would have to be clever to not make it feel like 'Total Wipeout' rip off-esk type show as typically Fun House was like a kids version of this to a certain degree.

It couldn't work without him. That was my theory with The Krypton Factor and I definitely didn't favour Ben Shepherd.

Its not the worst idea in the world.
The current trend is for silly, physical gameshows, if Wipeout and Hole in the Wall are anything to go by (and I reckon two similar hits is enough to persuade an executive these days); so maybe there's a bit of mileage in Fun House yet.
It would either need to be spectacular, a la Wipeout, and sold to a dozen countries, alternatively be smaller in scale, but with lots of camp n' kitch value added like Hole in the Wall.
Either way I don't think Pat Sharp is the man to front it, in my opinion.

I managed to catch this mornings episode on Challenge and considering I havent watched an episode of it for over ten years or so now, I just didn't enjoy it that much oddly, maybe its not the same watching it when you're 22 not 10 years old. But in comparison to some of the junk that's on now, Fun House was decent and they gave away some great prizes for 1997 standards.

Have to agree with this. The show would ideally need a well known duo to host it (not Ant & Dec). Don't think one presenter and some twins would work on a Saturday night style show. Having said that it depends what time it would air. If it was the very late afternoon/early evening slot then maybe Pat would work but I feel if it was in the 8/9pm time areas it would need a bit more depth to it especially if there is a studio audience.

I am one of the other people who watch this and being in awe while watching this. Saying what others have been saying here about the possibility of Fun House returning, I would like it too albeit slight modifications - maybe a Saturday night programme: Children vs Parents, Children vs Schoolteachers possibly?
Those twins get a bit annoying....Pat Sharp: "How many points do you have, one of the twins". Answer: "We have 1, 2, 3, 4 - YEEAAAHH!"; this happens in every game. Other than this, an excellent programme and nice to see it back on television.

If ITV have anything to do with it on a Saturday night, there sadly is only one way it would come back...All Star Fun House (so soap stars and former I'm a Celebrity contestants, doh!).
