Was the Tyne Tees announcement a regional one, with the TT name in?
Yes it was. And it was one of the younger female announcers on at the time.

There is a promotional advert for TTTV advertising as well, same as the YTV one but with a Newcastle telephone number (thought all that was done from London???)
About 10 seconds into the Tyne Tees Weather with Jo Blythe at 9.00 tonight, the tape just froze, and nothing was done about it until the bit where the forecast was due to end, when they just faded it out and the adverts came on.
How many is that now??

I`ve got an odd one from Sunday afternoon. YTV went straight into Storm Force after Soccer Sunday without ident or announcement after a generic trailor. Now I know UTV and Channel do this quite often but i`ve never seen YTV do this.
Yes I saw that one as well. Even more strange was that Tyne Tees did have an ident and announcement into the same programme.
I did also notice that the YTV production endcap on the Football programme was cut off very quickly and the ad break was running behind Tyne Tees'. I think the football programme overran, but it must be said that TTTV had a similar problem with a programme running over time a couple of weeks ago and Leeds just cut the credits off that one, double standards creeping in there methinks.....
Also tonight, they cut to North East Tonight too early (and cut off the end of the announcement in the process), and we were treated to Tyne Tees' lovely VT clock, which consists of a blackboard with the name of the programme hand-written with chalk, and a mechanical countdown clock, held up to a camera, just as they were done in the 60's/70's. Quite why Newcastle is still using these in 2001 is beyond me lol...
I'll get it one of these days... just a pity I'd decided to put UTV on the TiVo for watching afterwards while watching TTTV live, or else a picture would be here
One other thing about it is that it still has the 1970's/80's TTTV logo on it, in yellow on blue... it must be quicker for them to put stuff together this way or something...
I can't remember before which programme, but a Yorkshire ITV1 Ident froze last night.
The announcer did her thing, the ident continued to rotate, but then came to a hault.
The programme then began, I think a couple of seconds later than it was supposed to.
You'd think the idents would just run on, wouldn't you?
What worries me is that I'm not even watching Tyne Tees all that much now, and yet I'm picking up all these errors -- which seems to imply that there's a lot more happening than I'm seeing.
Is it just that with there being a thread about it now we're noticing the problems more or has the Leeds centre completely gone to pot lately (as it seems to every once in a while)?
I have seen CARLTON idents freeze up, but this is usually well into the ident approx 25 secs of looping!

I think that the blue Carlton ident with no formup would go on forever, as its the think you see if theres a fault (no apology, just the ident spinning around with the ambient noise until the fault is fixed), and I think I saw it for about a minute during the credits for Robocop one night on ITV1 (it was actaully at about 1:30am, so I think its automated).
