There was quite a nice full page colour advert in my local paper today, the Daily (Bournemouth) Echo. And because we can't recieve Five through ATT here it had a strapline along the bottom saying Watch Joey on Five through Freeview (or words to that effect) with a huge Freeview logo in the bottom right corner.

I saw the same ad in the paper here in Leicestershire. But without the freeview logo, obv.

Apparently the very first (pilot) episode is a bit lame, so I suppose that's why they are showing the second episode right after it?

It'll be interesting to see the viewing figures for tonight on Five.

A question. Has Five ever been the highest watched channel out of the 5 terrestrial channels in one night? Do we think that tonight it will have more viewers than any other program on any other channel?

It will not beat The Royal that's for sure, ITV1 is usually the highest rated channel on a Sunday night, and Joey will not change that, but it will bring in more viewers that Five would usually get on a Sunday evening. I predict around 3 million maybe.

Even if it is crap, i think Joey will beat ITV1 tonight. Reason being is that LOTS of people loved Friends and wouldn't miss this for the world.

I'm sure the pilot will get quite a big amount of viewers considering Friends was so popular. Although i've actually had to remind people it's on. Most people don't seem to know.

Friends never even used to win its slot, The Royal pulls in 8 million there is no way that Joey will get anything like that, Five isn't even available everywhere.

You are kidding yourself if you think Joey will beat ITV1. Laughing Honestly, the only time Friends beat the other channels was (surprise, surprise) it's final episode.

That's prob because the show has been seen a million times before. This is a new show. I'm sure it'll get quite a high amount of viewers. Although i'm agreed that it won't beat the royal after looking at the figures that gets. We'll have to see.

Not helped by the fact the series is over in America which has resulted in a flood of episodes on BitTorrent etc and even full series DVD's on eBay!
