Friendly TV - it gets worse...

I've just read on the DigitalSpy forum that earlier there was a message on Friendly TV which read "The Presenter has not turned up".

Since then a presenter HAS turned up. I'm watching now and there is a German woman called Jennifer eating crisps and drinking water while reading a copy of Cosmo. The text messages are not working because her computer has crashed. She ran out of things to say a while ago and started singing a song. She's inviting people to phone in (at £1 per minute) and people are calling (the phone rings live on air) and then most of them hang up when she answers. We can't hear them if they do stay on the line. She's now showing us what shoes she's wearing.

She's on air - with nothing at all to say - for another hour and a half.

Do you think that having someone there just sitting in front of the camera eating crisps and reading a magazine is a clever way of ironically "subverting the genre"?

No, perhaps not.

I wish I had digital satellite so I could watch this.

Someone's just phoned up to say we can't hear her very well!

Oh dear, so there's a women sat there, the phone rings and then she has a conversation with them, but we can't hear the caller.

Can't they just get a phone with the monitor button, so we can hear the caller!

The new breakbumper is quite good though!

Oh what was with that advert there advertising an international phone service, are Friendly TV making their own ads?

EDIT: She isn't even looking at the camera now and we can't hear her!

If this was carried on Cable, I think it could be the one channel that would make me NOT WATCH BID-UP.TV ALL DAY.

This poor girl is desperate to get off air. She keeps saying "just 25 minutes to go", "just 20 minutes to go" etc. Just get up and go, woman, this is appalling. Ideal World would be like this if they had no products to sell.

The "set" is a shower curtain held up by some ladders.

She has just read a text message... "Has anyone seen Mike Hunt?". It took her a while to get it. Oh... she's just been cut off by some adverts... (wrong aspect ratio, naturally)...

they have cut her off - and just spotted an pointer and hourglass - nothing happening for the last few minutes - am I sad or what? LOL

Well I don't think I should comment on that Dave. To think you used to moan and call ME sad 'cos I watched shopping channels...

Roll on Monday, and the long awaited return of L!VE TV ! It can't come soon enough!
