I personally think that it's time to renumber the whole platform. It's silly that we have gaps in the lineup for channels which are only available in Scotland and Wales. Here's what I would suggest:

Taking your system on, that would move BBC4 away from BBC3 in Wales, and would introduce differences in channel numbers in different parts of the country. For promotion purposes, it's much better to be able to refer to a single number for everyone.

Channel 4 is currently on 8 in Wales, in my proposed plan it would move to 24. BBC Four would stay on 8 in Wales.

I am currently staying in Private Housing and wont be allow to put an aerial on the roof

So i was just wondering if anyone here is using Freeview just though a normal aerial with boaster maybe?

I have Freeview up my bedroom and apart from the odd time when it f**ks up and blips constantly (luckily, it doesn't happen very much at all), it works perfectly. No need for a booster.

Exactly the same here. Quite nice having a wider selection of channels when Sky is being hogged by my brother.

I'm inclined to mention ftn, Uk Bright Ideas, Uk History, Sky Sports News, Sky News, The Hits and TMF, Sky Travel on a Wednesday; Community Channel on a Thursday, Free2Play on a Friday... that's a majority of the Freeview channels.

I have Sky Digital Full package and i just wanted the extra channels for my bedroom. Thank you for all your replies.

Here is a sneaky thing you can do with Teletext on 4! Go to channel 50 and wait for the coming soon screen! Then press the combination on THIS PAGE! Does not work with ITV Digital boxes and some others! You will be highly surprised! Shocked Very Happy

They must of changed the code as it dosen't work anymore Exclamation Evil or Very Mad

I'm replacng my OD box with a sagem one. I like the sagem one, but i want to know why it has smartcard slots!!
