I don't know if this has been mentioned brfore but doesn't the freeview logo sometimes look like cooper black and sometimes looks like ariel.......... SOMEONE EXPLAIN!
It seems to be part of some retro design concept that some graphics peeps are adopting. The same font is used on GMTV's "season's greetings" on their christmas ident.
(remember we can't call it "christmas" as that might offend the muslim-baptist-anti-christ worshipper in Kazakstan picking up the signal illegally).
However, for an organisation that is supposed to be looking to the future rather than the past, I think Freeview's altered logo is completely wrong.
The old logo was much more modern and inspiring, this is merely an anachronistic non-effort of a logo. It looks like someone's plucked it straight out of the sixties. And the rounded corners... shiver. Don't even mention the cheap and generic Cooper Black font... whoever okayed this should be fired.
Can you imagine if someone posted this in the mocks section? It would be slated!
