How long has CBBC just been called CBBC? I have always known it as CBBC Channel. Is it the same on sky?
It got renamed on the DTT guide the other week, but I believe it's been the name of the channel for a while. Obviously, back when it first launched, they needed to differentiate between the channel itself and the CBBC strands on BBC 1/2. Since 2012, CBBC has only been a channel, so the need to call it 'The CBBC Channel' was redundant.
ITV Border is now listed as ITV Border England/Scotland.
English viewers can also view ITV Border Scotland on 802.
Are you sure you're not just picking up another transmitter? Our TV at work picks up Waltham and puts the extra channels in the 800s.
Same here, I'm not sure if it will happen anymore with the local TV channels but we used to get Channel 4 on both channel numbers 4 and 8 because of course in Wales, S4C is on 4 and Channel 4 is on 8. And since digital switchover when the transmitter power was increased, it's very easy to get signal from both regions.
The easiest way to avoid it is by manually tuning in each RF channel for the transmitter you want to receive, you can get them by putting in your postcode and checking 'detailed view' on the Digital UK site. http://www.digitaluk.com

Of course, the on screen presentation has always said just CBBC. Like the word Channel in the name of BBC News, that word in CBBC's name was only ever verbal.
I notice whilst looking through the Freeview channels this morning, there is now a placeholder for itvBe on Channel 26 on Freeview. It's just an MHEG graphic with the itvBe logo, and the words "Come back and see us on Wednesday 8th October for Launch Night."
It would appear there is a nationwide fault with BBC DAB and some TV services this morning with signal dropouts. According to BBC Radio Devon, Vodafone are investigating the fault.
