This morning I could only get now and next on the Freeview EPG on my Panasonic DVD recorder (picking up from the Bath relay). Normally I get 7 or 8 days of programmes.
Did anyone else experience that this morning? If so which transmitter do you get Freeview from? I'm trying to ascertain whether it was (a) Mendip and its relays e.g. Bath, or (b) a national problem - all transmitters.

I agree with Michael. No one should post anything for the next week as a mark of respect for the people of Japan. Think how they would feel if they knew we were on here talking about television presentation at a time like this.

I would agree with your savage attempt at sarcasm if Tumble Tower was actually talking about TV Presentation. But as usual, he is talking crap of the highest order. His focus on tiny insignificant detail shows him up for the cretinous nerd he is. My use of the Japan earthquake as quantifier attempts to draw a comparison between his desire for answers on a subject no-one really cares (or should care) about, and those seeking help in the desperate situation they find themselves out in the Pacific Ring of Fire. By showing a remarkable lack of social awareness, Nick has put himself at odds with normal human beings whose thoughts ARE concentrating on respecting those lost in Japan today.
Let me draw a parallell to how I read TT's post: I noticed that the label on my tin of Branston Baked Beans that I opened with my Breville Motorised Tin Opener Deluxe 2000 at 09:21AM GMT this morning was slightly off-centre. Have any other forum members experienced this problem with Branston Beans? If so, which supermarket did you buy the beans from and what sell-by date/batch number was on them?

This thread has nothing to do with TV presentation. At all. It's about some minor technical glitch that nobody cares about. What did happen this morning was something that a lot of people cared about. Me included. Why did you even post this TT? Why?

Does it really matter in the grand scale of things whether the issue was @ the transmitter or nationwide?
Did you really need to know what was going to be on TV in seven days time?
Do you not have access to other sources of TV listing material?
Would it not be far easier to switch the units off and go outside and mow the lawn or something instead of posting on here about the fact your DVD recorder threw a wobbly?
As far as we can tell, Tumble is a genuine user, he does not appear to have multiple accounts, his registered email address appears real as do his posting ip accounts. He has not broken any forum rules and as such I, nor any of the other mods, will take action against him.

There is little (no) need for your long reviews and posts in you own, very individual, style of posting. I would remind you that this forum is primarily for discussion television presentation and would ask you and other members to remember this. With reference to taking offense at "only watching cbeebies, mr bean etc" from what I can tell by your previous posts it would be an accurate summary and one made by your own actions.
