there are only 12 days of winter left, do you think it's going to launch in that time?
Subsequent to the announcement that Daytime would start on a date to be determined in Winter 2003/2004, Disney have announced that Daytime will not be starting until at least April. In view of the internal politics at Disney, and the takeover attempts by Comcast, there is a possibility that Daytime or whatever it will be called, may not start at all, especially with the arrival of subscription Pay Television on the digital terrestrial television platform.
Without any factual justification, it is my opinion that Daytime was somebody's empire building "pet project" within the Disney organisation, and subsequently once the bean counters and other management types looked into the project more deeply, they realized that in view of Disney's current poor economic health, starting such an initially loss making venture at this time, would not be in the best interests of the balance sheet and stockholders' dividend checks.
