ahem. abc1 is a new channel from Disney, launching on Freeview channel 15 from September 27. It can be found on the SDN multiplex (A). It will broadcast 6am-6pm, timesharing with TCM / TeleG in England and Scotland. It will not be available in Wales because S4C2 - a channel which broadcasts from 2pm-5pm three days a week - takes up the space.
Just had a flick through the Freeview channels and price drop has a caption which says "price drop tv north. No video"
Behind it is a static picture of screenshop. Anyone know what's going on?
ITV3 is planned to come to Freeview, just not sure where it would fit. There's been talk of it replacing the ITV News channel (unlikely), timesharing with More4 (equally unlikely) or that somehow NTL will provide better compression so more channel streams can be broadcast from the 3&4 Mux.
Re community channel - thats actually sensibler than 2-5am cos people are actually awake at 6am! Freeview doing something right? Surely not. Actually I think it's to make way for Teachers TV which is also planned to be launching an overnight Freeview service sometime soon.
Does anyone know when "More4" is meant to be starting?
What programmes are going to be on More4?
If its cheers, friends and those joe millionaire programmes, there's not really much point of launching a third channel if its just going to be like C4 and E4!.

Documentary and Film apparently. It's aimed at the older ages.
