Most of the time while using my freeview box there dosn't seem to be any information on the epg for itv 1 and most times ch 4 has no informatio either. Can anyone tell me why this is?
It happens to mine now and again but it's only a box problem.
No it's not, it's a serious ongoing problem with the Mux 2 EPG provision, Digital 3 and 4 are well aware of the problem, but refuse to spend any money to sort it.
It will affect different boxes, in different ways, and not all transmitters at the same time.

Most obvious sign of an EPG outage on Mux 2 is when the listings for any of the following channels either disappear altogether, look broken up or any programme seems to run for hours on end: ITV1, Channel 4, ITV2, ITV3, More 4, E4, ITV4, Film 4+1, CITV Channel.
ITV2+1, E4+1 and Film4 are not affected, they're on Mux D, C and D respectively.
