Granada North West Today
Can’t find a thread for it but FOX seems to have rebranded before my very eyes! I can’t captire anything but all idents are now minimal and searchlight themed with the logo acting as a window for the light to shine through with the shadows being clean lines. Promo endboards are lovely too. DOG seems to have moved slightly but that might be just me imagining things.

It is a localised version of this rebrand brought in without the ‘Channel’ tagline

Incidentally NBC in America have started adding an “NBC Presents” frontcap this season to some shows. All hail the return of the frontcap! (Though for some they never went away - HBO always used one).

The phenomenon of the “Fake Netflix Original” (where Netflix actually adds its frontcap and the words “A Netflix Original Series” to some bought in programmes) probably doesn’t help - although presumably such shows would probably have an NBC/Fox frontcap removed anyway.

There was an interview with the producers of Riverdale recently where they discussed this. Netflix went as far as to remove most of the thumbnails they submitted (because they had the CW logo on them).

Now that FOX UK is owned by Disney will they revert the name to FX to align it with the US network?

It would seem strange to continue with the FOX logo in the UK when FOX in the US isn't owned by them.

No more strange than Fox Sports Australia continuing to use the brand, despite (like all the Australian assets) it being owned by News Corp.

As a result of the various splits, there are now assets using various Fox brands owned by Fox, Disney, and News Corp. Afaik it is Fox that now owns the brand but I don’t know what the long term licensing arrangements are. The US Fox regional sports networks went to Disney in the split but are required to be sold on (and Fox has said it won’t be bidding - no doubt if it was interested they’d simply have been assigned to Fox in the split).
