I almost chocked yesterday when I saw the new garish, wild looking graphics for relaunch for the FOX REPORT with Sheppard Smith. IF anyone has seen them I'm sure you will agree they are ridiculous, almost laughable. The theme music is the almost comical. It makes the old graphics and music seem like the BBC 1 10pm bulletin. You seriously wont beleive it. Well on second thought you will. Its typical FOX...but its just...just see it.
I'll give them credit for that cool zooming in from space into the FOX building's window.
Yeah that is sorta cool. Not to keen on the colours though. The rest of the graphic presentation is very loud and tons more whooshing and swishing and the music is abosolutely announcing armageddon. Its nuts. When it relauched Sheppard said that they were going to shift into an even fast mode of presenting. I question just how fast they present the news before its just noise....as it already is. The only credit I can give them is for trying new things and keeping their presentation fresh. But this approach is extremely heavy handed. I suspect that this trend will continue because they feel this is an attractive asset...so they sell the product as loudly as possible. I still think they need help with their sets. Some parts are cool, but overall the presentation is getting boring....and they just revamped it not to long ago.
