STAR News - which is normally encrypted for subscribers only on Sky Digital satellite channel 671 - is currently showing FOX NEWS CHANNEL.

I don't subscribe to the STAR TV channels - but they seem to be allowing all Sky subscribers to watch.

An interesting extra choice of news channels (although it has been available as one of the Sky News Active quarter screen feeds)

I think I'm likely to stay with the Beeb, Sky and CNNI - as I'm in the UK and prefer their more sober style.

(I'm afraid Fox is striking me as a little too tabloidy and gee-whizz graphicy at the moment, their graphics are VERY big and shouty.  Their full-frame Breaking News animations, with whooshing sound FX, do feel a little out of place - almost cartoon-like - and not well suited to the current news coverage.  Just a personal opinion though.)

Ahh, it's unencrypted again then.

I've previously seen it with a STAR aston at the bottom of the screen but that's now gone (just the DOG) and also a bizarre version of Sky News. How many national variations have they got around the world?

Hmm.. not there now. Nice to see a permanent Fox News feed on Active but *damn* annoying in the 1/4 screen box. Will there be an updated version with a full screen option? I wouldn't mind if it looks a bit crap but it'll save me having to squint while watching 'Fox Files' or whatever that video show is called.

Incidentally, where do they get their feed - 43W or a private feed?
