If someone could enlighten me I'd be grateful ... I've been watching Fox News recently ... I just counted fifteen, yes fiteen, 'bumpers' station id's whatever, back to back .... They vary between about 6 seconds and thirty. Some were repeated a couple of times ... They all have a cheese factor of at least 8.5 out of ten. As a first time viewer, it's pretty irritating to say the least . I'd imagine that regular viewers must get absolutely demented. Why do they do it ? I'd rather watch a potter's wheel, anything in fact. I think the programming team need to change their medication p.d.q. Anyway, that's my question ... why?

Where are you watching Fox News from? When I was on holiday in SE Asia I noticed that unlike on Sky when the weather is shown between breaks, on the Asian feed a loop of old idents are shown with some music, and then depending on the cable provider some local adverts were then shown.

I thought it was strange that they didn't show the weather there as well.

Those stupid bumpers are there because unfortunatly other countries also watch FNC, and the breakbumpers are there to signal to break away to show local adverts. etc. or they will end up seeing the US ads.

Most viewers on average watch news channels for about 18 min. so they don't see much commercials anyway. I'm not a regular viewer but it does drive some people crazy!

Does anyone have a clip, or can you point me to where I might find them?
