It wouldn't surprise me to see MSNBC arrive over here soon.

It probably will. It's been aired nearly all day on CNBC today.

Yeah, the end of the hour titles on the news nets are very moving - I'm trying to record them, but I keep missing them……

I doubt MSNBC will be brought over there anytime soon. To tell you the truth, I think NBC are either giving up on MSNBC, or are eventually going to be planning a major re-launch for them…but it's just my own speculation. MSNBC's ratings are pretty bad, their presentation is worse, they've fired so many of their presenters……it's too bad to, they have a lot of potential and all.

I've been wondering if ABC or CBS will start their own news nets. I know ABC tried a while ago, but it didn't happen. I think ABC could do it, they have a bunch of money and recognisable anchors and everything…but with three out there already, I doubt that it'd be profitable enough.

I've been watching a bit of the MSNBC and Fox News coverage today - not as good as CNN, but CNN International have unfortunately been breaking away from CNN US quite a bit this evening, which is a shame.

The picture on Fox News is very washed out - a bit like how The Box used to look. But it's looked like this even when it's been shown on Sky News, so I guess that's just the way it's meant to be.

Watching the coverage today, I'm finally starting to see the full horror of what's happened. As I've been in the Observer offices since Wednesday, where I've been focussing on the day of the attacks and the movements of the terrorists beforehand, I haven't really had a chance to see the aftermath until now.

Fox News is on analogue as well - on Sky MovieMax's old frequency. Strange, considering Sky analogue has closed!

There probably wouldn't be a great deal of point of CBS launching a 24 hour news network. CBS have such strong links to CNN that it would be pointless. I know CBS and ABC are in talks with CNN about a merger, what will come of that I do not know but it doesn't sound like a wonderful idea to me.

How would that affect CNN International in Europe?
