Well, it looks slightly nicer than it does on Sky News Active, or full screen with all the sky graphics superimposed over the top - but I still think their style is awful..
I'm guessing Sky will stick in at number 503 in the EPG (i.e. before any other news channel)..

It is ALWAYS worth trying an 'Add Channels' on the existing transponders which Sky use. FOX NEWS has been rumoured to be starting on Sky for a few months now.
Channels which are shortly to be added to the EPG ALWAYS fire up test transmissions first....its just a matter of catching them ! STAR NEWS, Smash Hits TV, Kiss, Einstein TV, Euronews, Eurosport, Eurosport News etc etc were all broadcasting a number of days/weeks before their inclusion in the EPG !

It also says on there that it's only a temporary thing while Sky News Active is running it but wouldn't that a) be encrypted, like the other three screens and b) provided 1/4 screen like anyone that saw '4 Extra' (via Other Channels) showing the Big Brother screens quarter size?

Yep it can't possibly be for News Active, can it, otherwise we'd have found the other 3 channels way before now..
I really would like to have the 'proper' CNN (American version, as we've had since the WTC attacks) rather than CNN International, which seems to be highly focused towards business news.
Is there ever much chance of this happening - and does it have something to do with advertising?

There is no chance at all of getting to see the full CNN Domestic network on a seperate channel. The point being that we are (to CNN) and international audience and our needs should be served by CNN International, not a domestic US service - with a primary focus on US news.
It wouldn't surprise me to see MSNBC arrive over here soon, and as we know, Fox News is currently being tested.
Just to let your know, all of the US networks have prepared special trailers at the top of the hour - Fox's ends with the words 'God Bless America', CNN and MSNBC have done something similar. All very moving.
