Fox News is live on Sky News Active with an OB at the moment.

Edit: Slightly odd as it seemed to jump at one point but then we went to a 'fair and balanced' Fox News Channel promo, followed by the first advert which then cut into the Sky News Active loop - hopefully it'll return in a min!

Watching it now. A studio shot would be nice - those file pictures aren't very interesting! I presume this is 'Fox News Live'.

I'm just thinking: is it someone's monotonous and boring task to switch to the logo everytime Fox takes an ad break, or is that done automatically?

Not sure - if it's manually, the person is very slow! I think this may be a loop because they're expecting a press conference but I just caught the end of a conference 10mins ago. It might be a different one I suppose.

Ah, so that's what the studio looks like, then. Yuk.

I like the animation they just played to lead into a Fox News Alert, but that 'live' thing is far too big!

I was going to say exactly the same thing - the LIVE graphic is rather distracting!

Did you notice at the top of the hour the picture accompanying the story, had a logo that said 'Fox On Top'.

It looks great but on another forum one of its members contacted sky to ask them if fox was to come to sky news active and got a reply from sky saying there was 'no plans' to show the channel

I saw the other day on SNA a report from Fox News on its own 'channel'. It was basically that they had got all of their main anchors to sit in a broken down car and be attacked, to see how they react and then to offer advice on what to do in this situation. It was very interesting, apart from the unnecessary astons with big, hand-drawn looking arrows pointing to who they were naming. So very Nickelodeon I thought. I didn't like the spinning DOG either!

Managed to capture quite a bit of coverage.
A director of SNA told me that all opt outs (in the event of an ad break this is) occur manually - as that is how it was done on US Election night, when Fox News Channel was shown live for the entire evening.

The astons are far too big, but very Fox Newsy - brash and bold.
I typically missed recording the Fox News Alert animation - but I don't think it was worth bothing with anyway!
The programme was Fox News Live - notice how they got in an extra anchor to cover the story.

Sky told me there were no plans to relaunch Sky News - a week before they moved into the temporary set!

skytoday@bskyb.com is a good email address to get in touch with, they occasionally know what's going on!

The coverage was very lively, with all of the flashing graphics and the giant 'FOX On Top' graphic which was flashing all over the place.
But to my horror, they didn't use a 'FOX FLASH' aston - which looks very nice indeed.
It's a flashing aston which displays new details about a 'breaking' (3 hours ago) story.

FNC is actually shown quite often on SNA if there is a big US story that Sky doesn't have the resources to cover.
I got a little sick of the astons after about 30 minutes, there's such a thing as too many graphics!
Coverage was pretty crap though. They didn't get a reporter out there until well after anything appeared to have happened, which is quite surprising, considering they have a local affiliate in the area.
Instead they were continually going to their LA office.

'FOX on top' has to be the most comedy name I've ever heard on a news channel! Exactly what sort of audience does Fox News target??? Wink

Maybe Sky News should rename their late-night programme to 'in bed with Vivien Creegor' (sorry if I've just given you all a horrible mental image!)
