According to Broadcast, Fox is to launch a UK version of its channel around the end of this year!!!

How amazing is that, when you remember the polava over Sky News launching in the US.

I bet Tony Ball is doing his nut!

Just to be clear, this is an entertainment channel, not the Fox News Channel.

Sorry, yes. I should have made that clear. Had it been Sky News I'd have said Nick Pollard instead Wink

I wish Sky could come-up with the same tackle on protesting about Fox as Fox news did to our Sky news! Sad

If Fox News and Sky News are both owned by the same people, why would they want to rival their own services with their own services, and who was protesting against it? Rupert Murdoch got schitzophrenia?

Would we have to pay for it or would it be free on DSAT?

Digital Spy report it'll be in the basic Sky tier of channels.

Chrisb - I haven't a clue - it all seems pretty daft to me.

I assume it will just be lots of The Simpsons and Malcolm in the Middle then.

Well - no. Neither. Sky has exclusive pay-tv rights to both.

Are you saying Fox will not be showing any episodes of the above shows at all... I don't think so Wink

Although it is understood that FOX UK will not be able to air such series - new episodes, in any case - due to exclusivity contracts Sky One holds. (Digital Spy)

A good name for the channel would be Sky One Plus Plus!

I *very* much doubt they'll try that ... Dawn Airey would probably go after them with a pick axe! (well - hugh exaggeration, but I can't imagine her being happy!)
