In light of recent events, please refrain from using BBC studio names & locations for security purposes. This includes the news studios, please refer to them as 'National news studio' rather than the studio number.

This is the biggest load of crap! A terrorist isn't going to get his info from TV Forum.

And hey presto the announcement dissapears.

I was wondering how it would take Asa to realise that the P*ss was being taken out of him Smile

Well actually you never quite know what's going on! So you have to take these precautions, and I think this was a complete waste of time starting a new topic all because of 'this is the biggest load of crap!' So stop it please!

I think Asa was quite right to post that anouncement - afterall its better being safe than sorry, any idiot anywhere in the world could access the forum and get info like that which in the wrong hands could be dangerous, a bit like brains and commone sence with some people hint hint

If you consider the fact that these idiots used MS Flight Simulator to plot the flight path, I'm afraid that anything is possible.

It was reported that a plane was heading for Atlanta, now the only large and important companies in Atlanta are as follows:

Bell South
Georgia Pacific
Coca Cola
CNN

That's from the top of my head, so I've probably missed some.
If I wanted international attention I know which building I'd crash into...

Valid point. Some stores have withdrawn MS Flight Sim now though.

Well, the studio names are easily found on the BBC website (or one of its properties) anyway... Unless someone posts a map of Television Centre and its precise location in West London, the BBC has really nothing to worry about...

Then again, it's Asa's decision and I wouldn't really blame him for putting it on...

Amen!

I'm with c@t, although I wouldn't use his language.

This forum represents no real security risk to an organisation that must be the most written-about in Britain, apart from the government itself.

Self-censorship of this sort is against the very freedom that we quite rightly cherish. It's an over-the-top reaction.

Sorry, it wasn't c@t I'm with (although I am too) it was SkyNews

Interesting 'fact' there. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would be most interested in meeting your contacts.

All these points may be so, but it's Asa's right to put what he likes (free speech) in his forum. He also shouldn't have to risk the abusive language in the topic of this thread from SkyNews.
