Not so much a forgotten TV programme - but can anyone remember the original, Roy Castle, version of Record Breakers, complete with the theme tune sung by the star himself.

Was there another version?
I'm so old
Yes - there were several presenter changes after Roy died in 1994.
The original theme tune which I've mentioned was used between 1972 and 1982.
I thought this was great - and was presented by Mickey Hutton, Jenny Powell ( I think!?! )and Paul Leyshon. Paul was also in Gimme 5!, Hollyoaks, U Get Me and CaveGirl.
Anyone remember a similar programme called What's All This Then? presented by Steve Blacknell?
I think Anna Home admitted these were attempts to produce modern day Crackerjacks (!)

I think Cheryl Baker continued to present for a while didn't she?
Cheryl continued to present Record Breakers with the god awful Kriss "Aaaaaha! ha! ha!" Akabusi. But it was then renamed Record Breakers Gold - just going over highlights from the Roy Castle era. Then of course Cheryl left and Linford Christie (why?) hosted his own Record Breakers.
Mickey Hutton - now thats name from the past. I vaguely remember Hangar 17 but didn't really watch it.

Ronald Regan Jr presented it for a series as a co presenter.
Julian Ferrino and Fiona Kennedy presented it with Roy round about 87.
Does anyone remember a record attempt involving the minute (as in unit of time) waltz but where Cheryl kpt pronouncing it my-newt, as in small, or have I just made that up?
