Forget Sophie Raworth.. What about Jules Botfield

The final week of Newsroom South East is being presented by the lovely Jules Botfield, he wonderfully almost sarcastic tone last night when doing the story anout London Underground train drivers going on strike over Toilets and tea making facilities was brilliant. She has that cheeky glint in her eye, she adds little touches that make her human ie: travels into London on Thames Trains, etc. She is also quite firm but fair when it comes to though interviews and news.

Does anyone know what her future will be when we are subjected to BBC LDN from next Monday??

She is good isnt she, shes one of the better ones in the land of regional news. I think she is going to onle be doing the Breakfast bulletins, although only that she is going to be sharing with the dreadful, awful, terrible Nina Hossein. No male presenters for BBC LDN you see - just Jules, Nina, Gillian Joseph I think is doing late, and Emily Maitlis the 1.30 & 6.30. I think.

That's a shame, I agree about Nina Hussien(or whatever), she's a bit bland. What can anyone tell me about Emily Maitlis, she look a bit like a strict school teacher!!

Nope. BBC LDN is short for BBC London. Like NYC is New York City. Dont ask. Crazy isnt it - why they couldnt get the o,n and o in I have no idea. Depsite its strange name and ident it should be an improvement on Newsroom South East - anything would. Its about as well produced as a wet fart.

I totally agree about the awful Nina Hussain too, the other lunchtime she was so unbelievably wooden, and a smile once in a while would be an improvement!! :

Not so long ago she was on Newsroom South East all the time! I'm sure she left a little while back (a year ago?), but recently she's started making surprise comebacks now and again.

Jules Botfield always makes the news sound interesting and couraging to watch. She is a smart presenter, especially in the mornings when I see her at 7:30am on TV.

I always thought that from a distance Charlie Figgis looked a bit like Gwenan Edwards!

Anyone know whats happened to Hugh DeSilva, he's the reporter that cannot pronounce his 'R's properly, I haven't heard him for months now
