The killer of Earls Park skipper Jason Turner is revealed to be Chardonnay, but she dies from anorexia before being caught.
Agent Hazel becomes the chairman of Earl's Park, and Stefan Hauser is replaced as manager by Roger, who has an affair with Jackie Pascoe.
Kyle becomes addicted to gambling after losing Chardonnay. He suffers a career-threatening injury in a dressing room fight, and turns to gorgeous physiotherapist Elaine for treatment – and romance.
Earl's Park signs Michael Gates, who is married to Bollywood actress Amber (a Posh and Becks-like couple played by Ben Price and ex-Hollyoaks star Laila Rouass). Michael indulges in affairs with Tanya and gay teammate Noah, while Amber is kidnapped by gangsters because Michael owes them £3million.
The Sparks also buy Liverpudlian soccer sensation 17-year-old Ben Lawrence, who marries his hairdresser girlfriend Shannon in a tacky ceremony on a yacht.
Tanya stops Frank blackmailing her by marrying him – and then discovers he is dying."
