football on five has new graphics and studio

Not too impressive to be honest. The studio is alright but the graphics look like the old five news graphics. Just lower case letters on a coloured background. Preferred the old ones.

Its now supported by Sky, so its natural that they would have a redesign.

What I don't understand is why the logo they're using it not the five logo, it looks like a right rubbish mock up, they could have at least moved the dot above the i.

Yeah, that is a bit strange.

It looks like a poor mock. Thought the other graphics were much nicer.

What is strange is that when they are having a chat in the studio there is a simular graphic in the top left wich does have the original logo.

Yeah I noticed this, as though the graphics for the studio and the match are being added from different places, surely they'd add all graphics from the studio wouldn't they?

Though other than the logo I quite like it, I didn't like the blue and white as I felt it didn't go with the five package, but in my opinion this works very well and looks nice too.

i noticed the i situation as well.
didnt mind the graphics too much and i dont know wny but thought jon barnes did ok too.

Here's me thinking the football coverage is produced for five by Sunset and Vine - who don't have any connection to Sky.

Going slightly off topic - but sticking with sport on Five. When Five begin showing cricket highlights, will Sky Sports be producing them - and if so will this be the first Sky Sports production on terrestrial TV?

Yeah i think if you watched the raw feed coming into the studio, it may have been a possibility that the graphics were added at source.
