Just watching football on five last night and noticed how much better it got with Colin Murray at the helm rather than Jon Barnes who was dropped to tunnel analysist. think the only improvement now would be to drop John Helm and get a commentator like Jonathan Pearce back.

Indeed, couldn't agree more! Bring back Steve Claridge as well, I remember when he commentated on a match absolutely pissed out of his skull. A true pro.

I think Five's football graphics need a refresh, they're already looking tired. They're almost as bad as the ones u>direct sport had a few years back!

Disagree with the comments here. As an avid football fan, I could tell that Colin was out of his depth. He didn't show any knowledge (for instance bringing up a certain player or game etc into the conversation) and instead made basic questions or statements like "it should be an interesting game", without validating his points. I noticed that he barely went into issues such as the placement of Yakubu on Boro's bench, which was big news in that match's terms. If you're going to be a sports host, you've got to be more than just a fan and really know your stuff - he quite clearly didn't.

Bit pointless with him still having the friday football night show methinks
