Last night's episode was fantastic! The only bit I didn't like was the new Damien (played by Benjamin Smith) doing the Jamaican accent! Otherwise, it was perfect!

Loved the way that they said 'goodbye' to Uncle Albert and how Mike had been sent to prison for trying to defraud the brewery and admitted everything whilst being interrogated!

To those who were talking about Series One shown on UK Gold last night. When it was first shown on that channel I was surprised to hear the original music too the same went for when BBC One showed the 1st Christmas special 2 years back it featured the same music as it has when it was orignially transmitted! They do tend to now when showing the first series play the John Sullivan singing track over the credits.

I have the 1st series on 1991 video - along with every other episode - and that indeed was 'dubbed' with John Sullivan's too.

BTW: I still can't believe how good John Sullivan is with attention to detail. There was the remarks about Cassandra going back to her job 'at the bank', remembering that Albert faniced Elsie Partridge (who featured in 'Sickness and Wealth') and that Rodney had a fetish for uniforms(seen in many an episode)!

Official figures: 20.3 million watched OFAH 2001 Christmas special.

That is expected to rise when video recordings are counted.

Fools and Horses still hav it!

It's 1 million down on the last Xmas Day special though:

Dec 25 1996 - 21.3m
Dec 27 1996 - 21.3 m - yes, the same
Dec 29 1996 - 2 4 .3m

The ironic thing is that Goldrush was filmed in the same studio as WWTBAM! Also WWTBAM is in the same studio as the Weakest Link - I think its Pinewood Studios, Elstree.

Look at the floors on all those shows - they're the same!

Might be me but I thought all OFAH interior scenes are filmed in Television Centre! I read that the OFAH book!

The Xmas special of Only Fools and Horses was the biggest let down after seeing Judy Finnigans boobies!

Script was very poor, seemed rushed in places and had very little comic moments.

Overall i was extremely dissapointed and was happy that itv1 had millionaire on just as only fools and horses finished! Millionaire was actually enjoyable and well done to all the celebrities whom took time off from their Xmas day schedules to take part in the programme!

OFAH was great! The BBC rule Xmas Day!

OK, it might have looked a little rushed to you but it didn't to me! Anyway, all other episodes to the series were shot so close to transmission anyway so they had to kind of rush.
