It's back! I missed the last one, but it looked pretty impressive so I'll be watching tonight for sure. Obviously they can't give away too many details of the location (though I guess OB trucks and an orchestra must be quite hard to hide). The only clue the website gives is that it's happening somewhere in Sheffield.

The production standards last time looked really good, so I'm looking forward to it. I did think it would've been trailed more heavily across the BBC. I only found out through a chance visit to the website.

If you're going to be nearby you can still sign up by txt to be part of the mob.

More on the BBC THREE website.

The opera itself was very good last time - but as watchable as Paddy O'Connell is, I didn't like the analysis every five minutes through the programme.

Would much rather have seen it played out live throughout the hour - with perhaps just an interval mid-way through!

So far it seems they've managed to control the crowds, no annoying people trying to get into every shot! I was at the last one at Paddington, I should have shoved that kid down the stairs!

You should have done, by pure accident of course.

Only saw the first 30 minutes before getting called away, but I thought it was excellent.

Need to catch the rest on one of the repeats later in the week though- did that 15 seconds of complete silence thing work out?

I really don't get this Flashmob thing - caught a bit of it and thought it was fascinating though. Can someone explain it to me please??

Basically the BBC put on their website that they wanted people to attend a special gathering and that more details would be released soon. Then they sent out text messages and emails to known 'flashmobbers' and finally posted the details on their site.

A flashmob is an organised yet seemingly random gathering of people using the internet and mobile phones. There are regular events like this around the world and you can find out more on http://www.flashmob.co.uk Smile

Well Done BBC THREE. FlashMob the opera is yet again a resounding success!
I loved last nights offering, it was interesting and imaginative and managed to take opera to the masses, to put it!
And furthermore no little imp in the background been annoying this time 'round!
