You forgot to mention BBC2's appalling repeat levels which prop up its schedules every single day of the week. But rather than downtime at weekends, which would help address the problem, BBC2 opts to screen double bills of Star Trek and Taken, keeping it on air till the ridiculous hour of 5:05am.
Oh, and did I tell you that in January BBC2's weekday startup was brought forward from 7am to 6am, the extra hour being filled with REPEATED CBeebies material?
In a 'new'* service from the BBC, Ceefax is now available on-demand by pressing the text button on the remote control of your analogue tv. You'll never have to stay awake to the small hours again....
