The new logo is in New magazine this week. The mock someone did isn't far off. It is truly vile.

Could you scan it and share on the forum?

Presumebly if they're already using the new logo in press then a rebrand on the channel may be coming very soon?
It will be a shame to ruin such gorgeous presentation, not only the idents, but the additional presentational elements work so well together and create a great package.
To go from that to a logo that people don't seem to be liking is bizarre, especially if it's to change for change's sake, and even more so if it's just to add the word 'CHANNEL' to the logo. Surely everybody already knows that it's a TV 'CHANNEL', else how else would they be watching?
Or is it that they believe that the reason millions don't watch five is because millions don't know that it's a channel when they see their programmes advertised and trailed?
If they are returning to the numeral (and also adding channel to the logo), what will happen to their digital sister channels?
Will it be Channel 5 USA, and Channel 5-er??

It is a shame that's it's taken the channel so long to get its branding in order then just as it does someone decides to drive a wrecking ball right through the progress made.
More worrying is the "make it up as you go along" attitude they seem to have adopted towards the station's branding style, as demonstrated within the gloriously tacky press supplements/advertisements.

Considering it was from my description, I'm interested to see how close I and you were

Interesting that the new logo looks similar in style to the old Channel 5 Video idents from the 80s - except C5 used a circle rather than an arrow, but the font is similar.
