I've seen the same logo Inspector Sands refers to. Surely it can't be the new 5 logo? Looks like it's been done in a rush.

It looked pretty permanant on the van, with smaller 'OK' & 'Star' logos on one side and 'Express' logos on the other.

I imagine, based on the description, it looked something like this:

*

That's not far off, a bit less of a slant on the 5 but apart from that pretty much what I remember... damn my cameraphone

I reckon your reconstruction took longer to design though Laughing

Yup, a good 90 seconds on Powerpoint.

Demand Five has today disappeared from BT Vision On Demand, without any warning.

According to the Virgin Media website, it's no longer available on their On Demand service either.

I can only assume this is due to cost-cutting measures being brought in by the new owners.

It looks like Channel Five's website will a relaunch soon with the companies portfolio at the bottom of the website.

Much better than the last attempt.

Could this just be technical problems? It has never been available via Virgin but in the past few days some people of Digital Spy have reported that it has started to appear

It's not technical problems, it's been removed from BT Vision.

Demand Five joined BT Vision on 7th October 2008, so it looks like the contract wasn't renewed.

Has any noticed the new presentation Five have been using when trailing Superbad? It's like an old feature film font with the Five logo in a rectangle at the bottom with Five Pictures rather than just Five. Wonder if it's a one-off for Superbad or for their next film season?

Could this be to do with Canvas aka YouView?

It's just a special version of the logo to promote a season of films (The Wrong Coms"):

Well that seems a bit of a step backwards, guess people just aren't watching Channel Five shows to justify the existance of the service.
