*Takes magnifying equipment away from the screen* Well, I can't see that being a real logo, or even a "test" one. It has the same overused mac/glassy effect as a couple of the mockers here tend to use, and the logo just isn't right anyway.

It looks to me like another mock, and this looks like another thread trying to convince people it's a real logo.

I saw it on wikipedia, I wasn't trying to convince anybody that I made it. I provided the link to which I saw it Rolling Eyes

Oh I know you didn't make it, never said you did. I think I trust Precursor to make a good job of this, FiveUS and Five Life are unusual names, I look forward to seeing what they come up with!

I think the key phrase from that press release is
Quote:
"We have an opportunity to create two very different and stimulating on air identities which can really stand apart from other digital channels."

A sign that they're following the C4 approach to branding digital channels? Just as five's idents don't have the channel name on them, these two new channels perhaps won't have any kind of visual similarity to the parent channel?

U.S., perhaps they will find alternatives to what it could stand for (ie, things hat fit their content) for trailers / idents.:

eg.

Utter Selflessness - could be used for an emergency services drama.

utter-silence (oxymoron, for a 'heart-stopping' new U.S. Drama)

United souls - for a drama with a team / feel good story where people pull-together.

Ultimate stupidity - 'police-camear-action'-like programmes.
If you gmy drift.
