Is there any connexion with the poor performance of the Fiver rebrand and this news?

You could argue that it's unconnected since the rebrand has been in the pipeline for months. But if Lighting wanted to make a point she could have deliberately saved her resignation for the week of the relaunch (although that's not very career enhancing in a close knit professional community).

Personally, I think the FIVER rebrand looks awful. It still looks like a third-rate digital channel.

No doubt the brainboxes at Five will decide to relaunch Five US as Five Cents or 5 Dollars.

Or Nickel as I said earlier in the thread.

I've got my money (groan) on Fiverica.

Well I see, Five and Five US have not been given new style idents with similar typeface to Fiver.

Totally pie in the sky and unnecessary really, changing the channel's name from Five Life to Fiver. I bet some will still call it Five Life.

I'm not saying the new name is a good one, but the name Five Life had limited appeal with the target audince of middle aged women, the name Fiver gives the channel a younger identity, but can appeal to all.

Except for you, obviously, who will dub it with some ludicrous code that no one else recognises.

Exactly, and it wasn't as if Five Life was a highly well-known brand, most people I know hadn't even heard of it.

It's on a completely different scale to the dropping of the 24....

Well Gavin Scott, being as Fiver is just a new name for Five Life, the code that I invented over a year ago for Five Life (5L) will remain unchanged, so now 5L = Fiver.

I have to ask, TT (as that is the code I invented over a year ago for you), why do you call BBC HD B#? Wouldn't BH be a better code?

"Totally pie in the sky and unnecessary"? Then why the hell do you persist with your stupid codes?

EDIT: I doubt you'll reply.

I'm sure their website would look lovely if they'd managed to get the video to display in the correct aspect ratio.
