Aren't PVRs and +1 channels aimed at different people? People who use a PVR usually know exactly what they want to watch. Someone who is watching a +1 channel might more of a casual viewer and might be interested in seeing a certain programme after they have finished watching something else but not that bothered that they would Sky+ it.

I think there may be something in that. A number of times I've been flicking around and come across a programme half way through that after a few minutes I wished I'd started watching from the beginning.
I've then been able to PVR it on the +1 channel (or similarly on BBC Three / Four's overnight repeats).
I guess it comes down to how organised you are at planning your viewing and setting your PVR/Sky+ in advance.
There have also been a few occasions when I've wanted to record three overlapping programmes. With the PVR only being able to record two at a time, timeshifted programming has proved handy.
That all said, I do feel with limited bandwidth on Freeview, the space could be put to better use. On satellite, I don't see it's a problem.

No, they appeared this morning. I only know because my digibox temporarily lost all it's now/next information (which it always does when they add/delete channels). Seemingly 10:30 on Mondays is a favourite time for this with Sky.
On searching through the channel listings it's the only change I can see other than "Zone Romantica" - but I'm sure I heard that had started a while back and I just hadn't noticed it.

I have seen the +1 channel last week, ( on sky)

If this is the case then I stand corrected
. I don't often drift that far down the entertainment EPG, but I'm sure I must've done at some point over the last week
Some evenings last week there really was "diddly-squat" on the popular channels and I remember resorting to trawling through the entire listings more than once. I could have over-looked their presence though!

from wiki:
On 28 August 2007, Five Life launched a timeshift channel named Five Life +1, available on Sky Digital.[4]
( hope there no problem between us)
