Five gets new look next spring

what will they put 6.30pm though?

Changing their identity again next year? Doesn't seem like long ago that the current lot were being debuted.

Maybe if they broadcast Neighbours at 5.30pm, they could also put ninety minutes of children's programmes before this?

The reason I don't really like the logo is it's nothing special. It was fine when first launched, but it has now become too bland IMO. I do hope they consider bringing in credit guidelines, as everytime they use the ECP, they get squashed far too much, making most of the names unreadable.

Do you like the original numeral logo? I ask because I would say that it was even less special. However, a logo doesn't need to be overly special, it just needs to be effective.

I think I prefered the original circled logo as it was a more a logo rather than simply text, it could fit in better with designs, though for me the biggest branding of the original logo was the additional 5 striped design.

I do think that they've used the current logo greatly seems as though its an edited bit of text from a well known font.
I also think that they've done a fantastic job with the logo especially when you look back at what it started as five years ago.

The thing that I have against five is that I don't really watch anything on there. I sometimes watch the wright stuff, and sometimes the news, but I can't think of the last thing that I watched in prime time. I think I watched more back in the original days when I ended up watch the lighter entertainment programming that they aired.

Plus am I the only one who hopes that the proposed revamp to the news will involve them placing them into the corner of the sky news newsroom? Surely it will have a massive impact instead of a two decked (well the impression of a two deck studio) where they only use the sofa.

I think that a revamp might benefit the channel as the current look though effective is a bid bland especially the end cap which looks like a Powerpoint presentation than a promotion trailer.

I wonder if this revamp will affect Five Life and Five US?

Now I don't like the overall pres, but the way the graphics are designed so it appears that the graphics move on, then off screen as each trailer/ident starts and ends is the kind of thing I've longed for for years.

I think Five US does a similar thing.

Time to pay up I think (I'm happy to accept 1p pieces) lol

A refresh is needed at Five, and I can't wait to see what they'll do.

If the Five suits were smart, the new look will be an evolution, not a completely new thing. How about something like this:
