And with the "first chance" DOG too, it's even worse! I don't have a problem with sensible channel DOGs, but these secondary ones should be banned!

Agreed, it's shockingly big, the only plus side is the transparency but is still far too oversized! Five Life I like the idea of double continuity but the voices is quite hard to tell the difference.

They're just off the safe-area for 4:3 as well, so watch that in center mode cut-out on a 4:3 screen and you end up watching "ve fe" and "ve S", as the bugs are right on the cut-out line for 4:3 so they disappear off into the overscan area.

How is Mork And Mindy a spin off to Happy Days???

Mork appeared in at least one episode of Happy Days to my knowledge.

He did indeed. The first spin off was Laverne & Shirley I believe.

I caught the first ever episode of Happy Days today. It was very strange indeed, the flow of the show was very slow and the jokes thin on the ground. Fonzie was without his trade mark leather jacket and hardly spoke at all. I noticed Richie's brother appeared too, I think he went into the army and was never mentioned after Series 2!

Not complaining, I think they should sit even further off the safe area myself.

If I remember correctly Mork appeared in two episodes of Happy Days, in successive seasons - If I remember correctly the second episode he was in was imaginiatively called "The Return of Mork"

I completely forgot about Laverene and Shirley - didn't it last only 1 or 2 seasons??????

Five US has mainly shown The Great Big British Quiz all day today - what a waste. Rolling Eyes TV companies have got to stop doing this.

They also show it on Five Life at 11.00pm on Sky and NTL Telewest, I agree it's a shame.

Though one thing I don't get is why Five US is only starting at 4.00pm? I could understand if a TUTV channel is broadcasting up until 4.00pm, but this morning I flipped on Five US on DTT and got a normal caption rather than an MHEG one that you'd expect.

Can anybody name the female American voice of Five US?

Interesting stunt by Five this week.

Thursday PM there was wall-to-wall footy, right over Home & Away.

So rather than park it in mid-afternoon as is usually the case when they have Z-List footy on, they didn't show it on Five at all.

Instead the episode was shown at 6pm on Five Life, or more it wasn't because the DOG was covering the damn thing.

The episode in question will be shown on Five - Friday at 12 noon in the traditional "repeat" slot.

This means that most of the UK has now been unable to watch the key episode in which Amanda Vale finds out that Belle Taylor is her biological daughter.

Well done Five! Good to know along with ripping the episodes to shreds, you've inherited ITV's scheduling gaffes too...

On Wednesday first look Home and Away on Five Life peaked at about 500,000 viewers, in fact it actually beat Two and a Half Men on Five which got a 100,000 less. So I'd guess where most of Home And Away's viewers know where else they can see it.

Not really because people will have had plenty of other opportunity to watch the episode. It was shown on FIVE Life Wednesday and Thursday night, and there is the omnibus on Saturday. And for those without freeview/sky/cable they could watch the repeat today at 12noon on Five.
