Five US, Five Life

Its a shame that the mainstream channel doesnt get a makeover too...the idents in my opinion arent working, alright there something different but thats about it...think they need to sort out their ads too....the powerpoint five looks naff!

Has there been any adverts seen on five for the 2 new channels yet?

They've been running ad infinitum for the last 2 weeks on Five.

I think the promos actually work quite well and are very distinctive, but I've not liked the idents as much since they swapped the "five" for random four letter words - and I imagine now with it being part of a family of channels they will want to get the "five" brand back into the main idents sooner or later.

On five life at the moment its go under the DOG, Lanches in 6 minuites.

You do ? Ummm, it's bad enough having one ego blathering away getting in the way of the programmes , but two ?

Anyway I only tuned in out of morbid interest. At least the DTT bitrate seems to match the target viewer's IQ.

And similar break flashes to five too.

Well that was a rather dull start! Sort of matches the programmes shown this evening really.

The only thing I will be interested in is Happy Days on fiveUS

My DVD recorder doesn't appear to be able to record off Five Life for some strange reason. No issue with Five US. Have I missed something here - is the signal copy protected?

Well I've had no problem, recorded fine, but I'm using a TVcard on my PC.
